We will incorporate CBT techniques that help in exploring and dealing with the thinking patterns that cause emotional difficulties and affect your ability to move forward in life with complete satisfaction. CBT changes the brain. When we change habitual thoughts, we change the physcial structure of our brain. This is a fact, verifiable by ‘before and after’ MRI’s and hard scientific research. CBT coaching incorporates realistic approaches and actions. It is not about simply replacing negative thoughts with positive thoughts. It is about helping you achieve a balanced and constructive approach to life and to the problems you’re encountering.
My blend of CBT Coaching is mindfulness-based. I coach mind management skills such as meditation that heighten metacognitive awareness, acceptance of negative thought patterns, and ability to respond in skillful ways. To put it simply, we are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think.
The way we think influences the way we feel, the way we act, and the choices we make. In our work together, we will deal with mental and emotional barriers that get in the way of dealing effectively and in healthy ways with stresses, anxieties, and obstacles.
